Do you have that entrepreneurial spirit in you? Is there a dream that you think about often but never quite get it implemented? Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but wasn’t sure how to move forward in it?

We’re going to begin a series of articles that we hope will help you grow that vision, dream and business.

Before we get started, what kind of business would you like to do?

There are many types of business models out there. So let’s look at a few of them:

1. Coaching / Consulting

That’s what this company and website is all about. Coaching and Consulting is the type of business model that we have here.

Is that your dream as well? If so, it simply starts with determining who your target client is and learning how to help them. Our goal here is to always provide you with the value, encouragement, coaching and content you need to go to the next level in your life and business.

2. Selling / Creating Apps

In this day and age creating cell phone apps is HUGE and actually doesn’t take a whole lot of experience.  Surprised? It starts with an idea. At that point you either hire someone to create it for you or you learn to create it yourself. There are software packages and programs out there that can help you learn. And of course, “there’s an app for that!”

3.  MLM’s /Multi-Level Marketing

I realize there are many companies out there that may seem scammy or spammy. But there are also many companies that are excellent. The key in all MLM companies is “do your research!” I’ve been in both kinds. It has taken years to determine the right fit for me.

One size does not fit all. A company I am in is great… FOR ME. But it might not be the right fit for you. Which is why it is key that you not just jump in on an emotion because it sounds great. Spend time researching the company. Talk in depth to the person who is trying to recruit you.  Make sure your choice is one based off of wisdom, research and passion. If you are trying to sell a healthy drink that you can’t stand yourself, you might not be very passionate about that company. It’s hard to sell what you personally don’t like.

4. Software Development

This is much like creating an app. But instead you are creating and / or selling software that people need for their computers. Again, you don’t have to build it yourself if you don’t want to or have the knowledge for. There are companies, people and even places online like Elance where you can hire someone to do it for you. You provide the idea and the plan, they’ll do the rest.  But again, do your research. You have to know specifically what you want so they have a platform to work from.

5. Internet Marketing / Product Creation

If you have a specialty and desire to teach others that specialty, that’s an income source for you. You start with the idea and simply package and market it. Online or Offline. While it is much more in depth when it comes to creating it, the basic concept is really that simple. Everything else can be learned.

6. Affiliate Marketing

There are thousands if not hundreds of thousands of products that you can become an affiliate of. Once you are, you learn how to market that product for a portion of the profit. It’s simple and easy. The main learning piece of it is learning to market it. Many online marketing companies will even help with that by providing the training.

7.  Passive Income Blogs / Niche Websites

This is simply creating a blog and putting either your own product or company as advertising on it or an affiliate product. Once you learn how to send a targeted audience to your blog by providing content that they want to read or watch, you’ll begin to see your income links clicked on and responded to.

This is “passive income” because the reason they are coming to your blog is for the article, not the product.

UNLESS it is a niche website on a specific product. Learning to use Google, advertising, articles and keywords is key in this type of business.

8. Offline products / businesses

Whether it is a product you go door to door to sell or a store of your own, having an online connection in your business is very important. Most people will check out a website long before they will visit your store or listen to your product sales pitch.  It’s important that we stay up to date with the upcoming generations and what they use to engage.

9. Everything else

Obviously this is not an exhaustive list. These are some ideas that can be a foundation or building block for you to start something new.

The key in everything is DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Never start something new until you’ve done due diligence and researched it to the point where you feel confident before you move forward.

That doesn’t mean you have all the answers. Only God has every answer. But if you will submit the idea, company and passion to Him and let Him guide you in it, you’ll succeed. He loves to help and bless His children.
