Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out. ~ John Wooden

Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Things do not work out the way we would like many times. It is then that we have a choice. Will we look for the lessons? Will we look for the good that can come from the trials? Or, will we get angry, frustrated or depressed?

We need to remember that there are people who rise up to greatness who face what seems like some of the most impossible odds. What makes them different than other people who grew up facing the same challenges but they didn’t succeed? It isn’t the problems. Everyone faces problems. It isn’t the talent. Some super talented people never make it.

One of the things that makes the difference is how they view the challenges that come up. Make a decision to look for the silver lining in every difficult situation. Ask God for His help to learn the right lessons. Learn to do your best with whatever cards you’re dealt.
