Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that’s real power. ~Clint Eastwood

Proverbs 25:28

A person without self-control

is like a city with broken-down walls.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We can be harder on ourselves than we should be. I have seen some people forgive everyone but themselves.

The good news is even if you have blown it many times in the past, you can change. With the help of God you can develop self discipline. You can choose to do the right things.

Or, if you choose to keep doing the wrong things, or not do the important things, you will reap those consequences. If you ask God to help you develop discipline, He will. Your part is to ask, believe and do your best. God will take care of the rest.
